Good Morning from a Lurker

I have been a member of this group for awhile. I am getting lots out

of the posts, especially this week on the subject of losing wt and

doing it Intuitively. I spent most of the month of Jan fussing about

what diet plan to follow. I lost 25 lbs in 2008. I still need to

lose lots more, Yes I truly do. I am diabetic, and have other health

issues. I know if I were thinner, some of the health problems would

go away. I will be 66 in March. I lost wt in 2008, basically by

intuitive eating, only I didn't know there was a name for it.

I did lose 4 lbs in January, and I was weighing in once a week. I

found myself eating if I didn't lose wt, and eating to celebrate when

I did. Same old patterns. SO I put away the scale, so I can't get to

it easily. First step in getting rid of it totally. I will be able

to tell when I lose, when my clothes are getting looser. I just gave

away my biggest clothes, that I wore in Jan 2008. They are too big

for me now.

I do need support on my weight loss journey, but not weighing in every

week, and stressing on each and every calorie. I am hoping this group

will help me to continue on my weight loss journey.
