Hi all, I'm four and a half(?) months along and am interested in learning

what folks use as a protein source. I'm thinking that I need to decrease

carbs and increase protein at this point. Any helpful hints will be

appreciated! Thanks Priscilla

Hi Priscilla,

I use mainly my diet...I eat jerky or nuts or soy nuts for a snack

and my protein intake is usually around 50-60 grams per day which the nutritionist

said was fine. If there is a day I feel I'm not getting enough protein

I have a glass of Challenge liquid protein diluted with water. It's

about the only supplement I can stand. I hate supplements so I really

try to strive for adequate protein in my regular foods.

Hi Priscilla,

Check out vitalady.com. They have some great protein sources. Also

check out sabariatric.com. That's a very informative site written by

a bariatric surgeon in San , TX. It has lots of info on post-

op stuff. Good luck!

Hi Dawn, I'm looking for food sources of protein in addition to the Pro55

and Carbsolution I drink daily. I get about 30 grams of protein from the

drinks but I wanted more pure protein instesad of the cheese and cracker

tidbits my right hand is so fond of. I scrambled an egg today with cottage

cheese and then with the Protein drink an hour later got quite sick. So I'm

trying fish tonite. Cod in the microwave. I felt if I tried for the three

small meals B,L,D and then fill in between with liquids and a protein drink

I'd pretty much have it covered. Please advise Priscilla
