Guest guest
Just recently I filled out my peace corps application. Essays, paper work and all. This friday, is my first interview. There was one set back but I did not let it get in my way. in one of my essays I wrote about my struggles with Charge syndrom and how I would not let it get in the way of achieving things. The recruiter found the syndrome strange since he had never heard of it. So he called the medical advisor who then looked it up as well. He didnt hear of it either. So the guy called me up and said because I have it, it will require additional medical tests to make sure Im fit. I told him I would go with ever costs, I am determined to do so. Interestingly I am the first person with charge to apply. How awesome is that. I wonder what his response will be when he finds out what I do for fun - rock climbing and kayaking. Its unfortunante that people have the perspective as such, but if I stop here, their thoughts might never change. Peace
