Guest guest
I joined your blog! I love reading this sort of thing. Good luck with it! I started reading " The Four-Day Win " this afternoon and since it involves a fair amount of self-observation I decided to revive my IE blog. IN fact, I'm making it public for the accountability and also to invite you all to read along with me and post comments if you like ... here is my first post, I'll be posting at http://mikki-ie.blogspot.com/ May 29, how'd THAT happen?! Another beginning, using " The Four-Day Win " Someone on the IE list mentioned this book, and since it seems to be based on micro-baby-steps, I figured it was the approach for me So ... I stopped by the bookstore on the way home and bought it, and started reading it right away while cuddling my sick kids. And ya know what? Even the THOUGHT of reading a " book about weight loss " was frightening- I was sure that somehow this was going to ask me to do some sort of deprivation (after all, she says the first 4 days are the hardest!) ---- and I couldn't even READ THE DIRECTIONS WITHOUT CONCURRENTLY STUFFING FOOD IN MY MOUTH!!! Now, isn't that *interesting*. But I managed (with the help of my snack) to get far enough along into it to read the " eat whatever the hell you want " , and now I feel better At any rate, since this is a technique based on self-awareness, contemplation of the brain's reaction to certain thoughts, and time, I've decided to blog it in my IE journey/journal. In fact, I think I'll make it public ... if I actually get some followers I'm more likely to keep at it -- Abigail C.
