Guest guest
I want to thank you all for your thoughts and kind words. Sissi, I wish there were something you could do! I'm about worn out. I spent much of the night researching Psychotic Depression (or Delusional Depression). This link gives a quick overview if anyone is interested. http://www.avera.org/adam/ency/article/000933.htm I swear, if there is a god, he/she has got it in for my family right now. <sigh> Well, I promised the kids pancakes this morning. Guest guest
Amy, Perhaps you could contact NAMI, they probably have some support groups in MI, and they have a website and support list-Yahoo. Guest guest
Amy, this is what happened to me during PPD. It's frightening, but with meds and therapy it completely vanished, and although I still struggle with depression, I've never heard voices since. I am confident it will happen like that for Cam, too. Guest guest
--Amy, I agree with Jacquie on this one here. I think that article is bit bleak, thats why I suggested NAMI, because you hear a lot of good stuff. I think if the depression is controlled, than you usually dont get the voices or delusions. Even, my BIL is doing okay, not hospitalized in over two years, and I think the prognosis/rate of recidicism (sp) is worse for schizophrenia.
