Guest guest
- , Sorry about all your health problems. Im not sure why they want to do an illeostomy, it sounds like you have polyps. Am I wrong? My mother had colon CA, in the early stage, and that was about 15 years ago, she has to have annual colonoscopies. She hasnt had a problem since then. I hope you feel better physically, you must be very tired. I guess I could say that its good its not cancer, which is true, but, I feel bad that you have to have surgeries and biopsies, meds, etc. I hate tests and waiting for results. I am praying that this is the worst of it for you. Im glad you sent an updat. Try to be well. Guest guest
Good to hear from you heather. I hope this new year goes better for you. Jacquie H s Health Update HI everyone, Sorry for the cross posts and mass emails. Here is the latest news. The biopsies came back as the same precancerous tissue they took out in October. It has not grown back , but that they never got it all out. They have increased my medications. (I said this is a problem cause my pill box wont hold any more, he said that COULD be a problem..LOL.. this one I am sure you can handle) I also have an appointment to go back to Boston, Feb 4th. For another look see and more biopsies. But for now I need to try the increase meds to try to heal things up. They are concerned at this moment about being too aggressive (that means jumping to do an illeostomy). I think they are waiting until the last possible moment. But they do think an illeostomy is in my future at some point. And a colonoscopy every 6 months is the plan. Of course they also said it was my final decision. If I didn't want to do it this way, the final results are going to be the same. Eventually they will do the illeostomy anyway. So 6 weeks heavy increase of meds, back to Boston for more biopsies, think about it again at that time. AGAIN thanks for all your well wishes, thoughts and especially prayers!! in Maine Mom to 4 ASD & Dale 14 NT Autism a part of our world not a world apart. Guest guest
>Now that we know what's going on, How are YOU feeling??? Sue I have my good days and my bad days. They gave me a B12 and an iron shot because I was getting anemic. I get very very tired. I take a crap load of pills. I am pretty much tired of being sick and tired. BUT I am very grateful I have my family. My husband has been just awesome through all this. >Good luck! I'll be keeping you in my prayers. You hang in there! Salli I cant thank you all enough for all your moral support. >I'm not sure why they want to do an illeostomy, it sounds like you have polyps. Am I wrong? Thea Yes, I have a precancerous adenoma. I also have Crohn's Disease in my upper illeum and Ulcerative Colitis in my lower bowel. >Good to hear from you heather. I hope this new year goes better for you. Jacquie H Thanks so much. You know I hate have people worrying about me. I am not dying. The worst is that they have to do an illeostomy. And there are plenty of people that have much worse problems. So I am grateful its not full blown cancer. in Maine Mom to 4 ASD & Dale 14 NT Autism a part of our world not a world apart.
