And of course, the Tank Engine-- full of social interaction,

and kids on the spectrum love him. There is an anthology book that my

18 year old still holds on to

the Tank makes sense- trains are so popular on the spectrum. My daughter fell in love with a book her older sister had from when SHE was little and it was bought at a library sale for old books. It was the rhyme and repetition that engaged her. It is called "Cheese for " and it is about a little girl who tries to get cheese for her mouse.I don;t know, maybe they will reprint it some day.If you ever see it, give it a shot.I grew up with The Carrot Seed and then they made a new reprint of it a generation later and it is very popular. And I am 55!
