Guest guest
Hey Dena, Getting up and doing something besides eating when not hungry is a great idea. For some reason, when food gets my attention, it's hard to imagine doing anything else--lol. As part of an IE exercise in Roth's book, I actually had to make a list of thing I love doing that don't involve food. For me, one thing that feels like a treat is sitting down for a half hour in the middle of the day and reading a novel. Better than reading in bed at night and having the book fall on my face. What I've learned so far in less than a week on IE is that it's tough--really tough--to do nothing except eat at a meal. I'm so used to watching TV while I have lunch or reading something or working a puzzle. I can already see that I'm learning something. I have time now to notice how wonderful the food tastes.> > > > What I have trouble with is figuring how how hungry or full I am. I mean, until this week, I hadn't experienced a hunger pang in I don't know how long. I guess it's going to take practice. Does anyone else have that problem?> > > > Gracie> >> > > > > ------------------------------------> >
