Guest guest
Hello everyone, I had my surgery on December 5th and I am feeling really good. I am back to work and more importantly, on the last week of this blended diet! My surgery was done by Dr. Reines in Newton, MA. Can anyone out there tell me what kind of diet they put you on after this? I really need something to look forward to! Thanks in advance for your advice. Guest guest
Carol, First of all, WELCOME TO THE OTHER SIDE!! Already back to work? AMAZING!!! I'm sorry, but I didn't have Dr. Reines/Thayer, so I'm not sure of the next stage you'll be on, but there are many on here who should be able to answer your questions with more help than good ole me!!! One thing I can tell you is, that once on regular food, you will look forward to a lot! Dawn Blended diet Hello everyone, I had my surgery on December 5th and I am feeling really good. Guest guest
Thanks anyway Dawn. You always try to answer people and that is truly appreciated. I have to tell you though, I'd give my right eye for a couple of crackers right about now!! For that matter, anything that crunches will do - even - dare I say it.... a salad!! So once again, if anyone out there from NWH knows what kind of foods come after the one month of a blended diet, I would appreciate hearing from you. One more question for you NWH post-ops - does anyone know when the next support group meeting is? Carol
Guest guest
Carol my thoughts were after 4 weeks of blended/soft foods you can start introducing solids again one at a time, wait a day or two to mark any reactions to it before adding a new food. Guest guest
Oops also meant to add next support group meeting is first Thurs of Jan, the party I believe (correct me pls) is the 2nd Thurs of the month .. and the next support group meeting is the 3rd Tuesday of the month I think .. Its been so long I could be confused on the last 2 but definitely the 1st Thurs in Jan. Lyssa Re: Blended diet Thanks anyway Dawn. You always try to answer people and that is truly appreciated. Saltine....ONE, ok...TWO if you must, but that's ME, I'm not advising, just telling you my " boo-boo " that made me enjoy every freaking bite!!! Dawn Re: Blended diet Thanks anyway Dawn.
