Guest guest Posted June 10, 2002 Report Share Posted June 10, 2002 Hi ... Boy I do agree... When I was growing up I started driving my dad's truck out in the desert. That's when I was 12... At 14 I could move onto the roads around our home and in parking lots. I was well seasoned by the time I was 16 and could drive anything that was out there. My dad said I had to learn a stick first then an automatic. I did the same for my daughter.... years of practice made a perfect driver... I started her out at 12 also... It's amazing how much or how little the DMV thinks a kid needs. They had a special on this subject the other night and it looks like the insurance companies are going to step in and try to get things changed.
