Guest guest
I thought most of you know this song " Wonder " by Merchant. Anyway, for my one of my interpreting classes I need to do a song in ASL. Since I can't do a kids song, I thought of this song because I love the song and the words make me think of my own life. But, do you know if this song is really about what I think it is about? Seems like it is about a baby born with differences and no one can figure out why it happened or what to do but the child is destined to be successful with love and patience and faith (as the song says). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks! Debbie Matasker
Guest guest
Debbie, what a good question about the meaning of the song. I know I have heard it, but at the moment cant' recall it. BUT....if that is what it means to you, who is to say that the interpertation is not exact? I know there is a way to look songs up on the internet--google Merchant, her sites should come up and then there is usually a " discography " and you can pick a song and it will give the " Calling All Angels " UNBELIEVEABLE!!! Good luck. pam
Guest guest
I have always thought of Aubrie when I listen to that song. It's one of my favorites. I don't know if it's really got a different meaning. Michele W
Guest guest
Wow, thats a really nice song. I dont think ive heard it on the radio though. Just listened to a sample off the internet. Really pretty. I should tell my local radio station to play it. Im sick of some of the hip hop rap crap that our station plays. They went from jaz to hiphop rapcrap. Dunno why. But they did. lol Chantelle
Guest guest
i agree with pam song interpretation seems (to me) be very personal and if we're supposed to portray the 'presenter's intent and you are the 'presenter' then it is the meaning that YOU reap from the song that should be conveyed -- if i were performing my song for Visual/Gestures (and i will be next semseter) i would (will) consult with my teacher about the interpretation and the intent of the lyrics... keep me posted - i'll be doing this in the fall! Guest guest
Chantelle- That's Shania Twain. Can't remember the title -- maybe " Looks Like We Made it " . Reminds me of my husband and I. We got married way too young -- 18 and 21. We've been through so much I can't believe we're still here.
