Guest guest
Well, tomorrow begins my 4th week since my surgery, and according to my schedule, I should be eating regular food tomorrow. The book suggests I try one new food at a time, but I don't know where to begin. The doctor's list is very vague, I have a friend who gave me her book from Barix, and two other books. They all seem to say different things - from a bowl of cereal to refried beans and taco meat. What, realistically, should I start with? I am tired of tuna fish already after my week of soft food! Guest guest
Hey !!!!! I would try what ever your heart desires!! If you do meat, I would make sure it is really really really moist and chew it really well. You could do ground beef with salsa or spaghetti sauce, chicken (I cook mine in a crock pot) with a low fat cream of mushroom soup. Take very small bites wait a few minuets for your next bite and see what sits. It is kind of a hit and miss thing. I was so paranoid to eat, I did the soft food diet for 3 months!!! LOL I finally went on a 7 day cruise with a friend and she made me try regular food, I did fine!!!!
