Guest guest
My NT daughter has strep throat. Now my 7 year old ASD son's throat is hurting too! I'm hesitant to give him oral antibiotics, unless I have to, because oral antibiotics at birth (three months solid of them!) messed up his gut prior to six months of age, preventing any good bacteria from colonizing. (The mercury in the vaccines sure didn't help any either!) Do the shots of penicillin prevent the gut damage of oral antibiotics? Or does the injectable form flood the whole body with the antibiotic, still doing as much, or close to as much, damage to the gut as the oral form? Also, are the shots of penicillin free of all heavy metals, including mercury? Thanks for any advice anyone can give me! :-) Janiece

Two reasons; one, untreated strep can lead to other complications, and two, penicillin may not cause as much damage to his body as the oral stuff. There is still a possibility either way. My son does fine with penicillin, and not good at all with oral antibiotics. I would also start giving an anti-yeast remedy, and begin a probiotic. a
