Jen D:

I'm so sorry that horrible episode happened to you. This is all scary stuff.

Are you scheduled for a myo? If you aren't, can't you schedule one pretty

soon?

I had one of those horrible flooding/bleeding/clotting episodes last year and

went to the ER, too. They did nothing for me though. No one seemed anywhere

even concerned. I said to a couple people in the ER, I bet when someone comes

in here with a gunshot that is bleeding out, you get them patched up pretty

quickly. Isn't there something you can do for me? They assured me I was not

in much danger, just could get anemic. Do you think?

Well, enough about me.

Hope your bleeding is stopping and you can see your dr. soon. Try to take

care and let us know how things are going.

JenD--wowie zowie that sounds SCARY!!! You DO deserve a medal. I'm glad

you had your family there! I am NO medical expert here, but I sincerely

doubt that you are the only woman to feel she is " taking one step forward

and two steps back. " ly, this just about describes my whole life! As

Christy said,

you will make it to your myo. Anyone would be scared to go out after your

gusher--especially in NYC! Oy yoy yoy. I lived there 10 years and I know

about being stuck in traffic. And all of the craziness around you and you

still kept your head about you! Very, very impressive.

I'm sure Roma will send you that medal ASAP, but in the meantime I'm sure

she will concur with me that you are entitled to a little

Post-Post-Traumatic Stress R & R. So, if you don't want to go out for a

couple of days, big deal. Maybe you can get a friend or rlative to go with

you to your doc appt. on Wed., just to make the whole thing a little less

scary??

I'm glad you are keeping the faith.

New York and all but yo! Anyway.....glad you made it and are ok.

Hello Auntynona!

In hindsight, ahem, I personally believe that anytime a woman asks that

question, and believe me I have asked it countless times before, than it

is, by definition, bad enough.

You are anemic, and that is bad enough. You have a quality of life

battle with your clothes, and that is enough. Demand a referral....and

then do a Parks or a Gandhi in your doctor's office until you get

your referral. Best of luck! gg

JenD,

So sorry to hear this! I was hoping that you had better luck than I did with

lupron. I know how you feel.

I've been to the ER before for bleeding too! Not fun! I started bleeding after

my lupron shot too. Still am but less and the pain! I blead very badly for 3-4

days, finally slowing down. I was so swollen, my hubby asked what happened. I'm

so sick of the bleeding. Riding in a car seems to make mine worse so I try not

to go out anywhere.

I want surgery. I want an end to this bleeding and pain. I have months to wait.

It's so frustrating. Getting tired of the " cranky " comments too. I'm pretty laid

back considering but if someone is determined to annoy me, I get tired of it

real fast. I warn them off but some people don't have an " off " button. They're

the ones who I yell out.

Hope you feel lots better and I'm glad you had family to support you.

You have bad flooding. Has it " poured " out of you? Where you can just see it in

a continuous run? It can.

take that to my doc, I will probably be able to get a referral.

" How bad is a bad flooding day? " My " bad " has been soaking a super-plus tampon,

an overnight pad and going through my clothes - in less than an hour. Having to

change pads/tampons every 30-45 minutes for over 24 hours at a stretch ... To me

- that's bad ... Michon

My bleeding has finally slowed down today. I think its because of

the BCP that the on-call doctor gave me. They've helped to further

thin out the lining, I was told. I guess we're the 2% babes that

react to the Lupron in this way. Lucky us.

These people just don't get the seriousness of all this. They look

at us a moody people and don't see that this is when we are at our

most vulnerable and when we need them the most. This illness has

really shown me, who is in my corner and who is not. Who is real and

who is not. Try to keep your strength up and keep telling who is not

in your corner, how really selfish they are being, how their comments

are not helpful in your healing and God forbid that they ever get

seriously ill.

Faryl,

I am covered by Indian Health Service. In order to get help, we pretty much

have to do our own research and present it to the doc. If they can get the

funding, we will be referred to a specialist. I don't have private insurance,

it would cost about $900 a month. I have had other situations and I just go to

the doc and tell her, this is what is wrong and this is what I want to do

about it. If she agrees I can get help. The docs are overworked and underpaid.

If I can find a doc in WA who would do a UAE for a couple thousand or that

new laser treatment, I could swing that. I just can't afford the price of

health insurance. I am self employed.

Kuka,

Yep I have had times when it poured out of me. That flooding was when I was

taking 3000 mg of ibuprofen a day, I'd hate to see what it was like if i

weren't taking anything.

I got into see a doc today. I finally got to see the results of my

ultrasound of two years ago. The biggest was 4.5 centimeters. I am sure it has

grown

since then. I go in for another ultrasound on Tues. I really wonder what

they will find.
