Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I've struggled w/ vestibulitis, vulvodynia, and vaginismus for 3 years now. I've been *relatively* pain free for 3 months now and am having sex again. I would like to find a birth control method that won't cause a relapse and my Dr. is pretty ignorant about these V issues (actually she gave me YAZ to see if getting a little extra estrogen via the Pill would make things even better. After 3 days on the pill and several hours of research I decided not to continue w/ it, because of headaches and the risk of vaginal dryness, which is one of my problems). One pregnancy scare later I realize that I must have some protection in addition to condoms (which actually irritate me a little bit). So, does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any pills that don't exacerbate VV? What about the IUD? Thanks! Angie P.S. I really want a tubal ligation, but the Dr. says I'm too young for one at age 26, even though I am certain that I do not want any more children (I had one as a teen). Apparently, I need to wait until I'm 30. So until then...?
