Guest guest
good luck Dr. Thayer doesn't do lap rnys so you can cross that one off. He only does the open rny ... Not much you can do to stop hairloss if its going ot happen. He might tell you to make sure you get adequate protein or he might direct you over to the nutritionist. Major complications? Dying. Minor wound infection. Ask him for a prescription for b12 injections if you want to do it yourself. I do. They will do a gallbladder u/s on you if its bad it will come out during surgery if not they leave it in and you go on 6 mth prescription for Actigall to prevent stones during rapid weightloss. Yes your spouse can go to meetings they ask you go to at least one before surgery. He won't be able to tell you when you get your surgery date but his daughter will when she looks at the calendar to book you. Good luck sounds great. You'll do fine!
