Guest guest
Hi, I was 14 years old when I lost my vision. A lemon-size meningioma was surgically removed. The tumor had damaged the optic nerves. After surgery, I woke up totally blind. Some of the symptoms I had before surgery were terrible headaches and blurred vision. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. Guest guest
That is awesome to know since so many nf2 people have vision problems, wow, braile display too. If I ever needed braille I would be in trouble as I have barely and feeling in my fingertips! cindy Hi, > > I use a speech program (JAWS) with my computer. Guest guest
I worry most about loosing my vision. NF is so unpredictable that you never know where a tumor is going to appear. Are there different levels of NF2? Does most poeple on the NF2_Crew have troubles with their vision or have lost their vision? ____________________________________________________________________ Diane Russenberger ddcussruss@... wrote: >Hi , > >I probably would have lost my vision anyway because of the location of the >tumor. Guest guest
Hi, I use a speech program (JAWS) with my computer. JAWS will read whatever is on the screen, will say the letters or words as I am typing, etc. So, that is how I can read and type e-mails. It works great for me since I still have a little hearing in my left ear. If I would ever lose my hearing in that ear, I would have to use a braille display instead of the speech. Feel free to ask more. Diane Questions for Diane > >> > >> At what age did you loose your vision? Guest guest
Hi, I would like to know if anyone on the NF2 Crew lost their vision (totally blind) before losing any of their hearing. Guest guest
The Crew Founder, Jordan Harlow lost her vision and hearing totally. She was deaf before blind. Not sure if anyone else has. Guest guest
Hi, My cousin, Janice Harvieux, had told me about Jordan three or four years ago. I remember Jordan had typed me a letter and wanted some tips on how to do things as a blind person. Did you know that Janice passed away about 1-1/2 years ago?
