Guest guest
After 1 year and 5 months scd we can see very clearly that the diet changes the big picture. We started out at 14,3 kilo, for a boy of 6 yrs old totally underweight (GFCF + healthy appetite). After 17 months he has gained more than 5 kilos on scd. You may say, " well that's nice but so what " . He looks healthier He weighs more His muscles have grown He is literally stronger He has more stamina He can run faster Climb higher He is no longer afraid of climbing He can keep up with other kids He can participate more Also in his face there is more muscle tone His mouth seems stronger He can articulate better We see much more speech He likes to speak WITH us, not TO us He feels better There's more focus There's more thinking, seeing, feeling More understanding ....more FUN So this is not all about digestion. This is not all about legal or illegal. This, the specific carbohydrates diet, is all about making that choice, and sticking with it through thick and thin. This is a priceless investment in the future of one child, your child. This is - in short - a better life. Guest guest
Wow, Marjan, fabulous! I agree completely, we see many similar improvements in Adam after now 8 months on SCD (since starting over with the intro, and being 100% for sure). -- Sue, mom to Adam and > After 1 year and 5 months scd we can see very clearly that the diet > changes the big picture. > > We started out at 14,3 kilo, for a boy of 6 yrs old totally > underweight (GFCF + healthy appetite). Guest guest
" After 17 months he has gained more than 5 kilos on scd. " Just in case others (like me) have no clue how much 5 kilos is... it's 11 pounds. If he has gained over 5 kilos, then probably closer to 12 pounds. That's amazing for him to have gained 12 pounds in 17 months. What great news about the weight gain and all of the other improvements!!
