Guest guest
You should be eating every 3-3.5 hours. If you eat at 7am you should have a snack at 10 or 1030 and then lunch at or soon after noon. You will have another snack at about 2:30 or 3pm and then supper at 5:30 or 6pm and you will have dessert too. You will be fine if you have a few veggies in between breakfast and lunch and then again between lunch and dinner. Gretchen mom to Allie 9/15/89, 10/19/97 & Olivia 1/25/00wife to 5/7/94 Day 2 on phase 1 for me Ok I am having a little bit of a hard time being good on day two. Not asbad as I thought. I am a snacker and am use to having one through outthe day. My question is, is it ok to snack on things like veggies, andproteins throughout the day and how much is too much?? So far today thisis what I have had.Breakfast3 med. Eggs scrambled with green peppers and mushroomsCoffee (2 cups)Lunch Roasted brocolli, califlower, garlic, mushrooms, greenpeppersSnackCheese stickAnd now waiting on my sister to come pick up her kids and have my cup ofcoffee with her last one of the day and I will probably have a snack toocelery sticks I think. For dinner I plan on having chicken strips( no breading only chickenbreasts cut up) and roasted veggies with a green salad with cucumbers. Am I eating enough? Or too much?? I did have a piece of sugarless gum totide over the muchie feeling I got at like 2 pm. So far however so good. mom of Vicki,,DW of Chris"Mother's write on the hearts of their children things the world willnever erase"Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. Guest guest
When I was on phase 1 I tried to have some allowable complex carbs like beans with each meal. Not too much just 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup. If you can stomach them at breakfast, try it. That may carry you farther and you won't feel like eating again so soon after your meal. > Ok I am having a little bit of a hard time being good on day two. Not as > bad as I thought. Guest guest
I found a really good way to make lentils to have as a side dish: Savory Lentils (Revised) 1/2 cup brown/green lentils 3/4 cup vegetable broth 3/4 cup water 1/4 cup diced onions 1 tsp minced garlic Cook lentils in ¾ cup vegetable broth and ¾ cup water with 1/4 cup diced onions and 1 tsp minced garlic.
