Guest guest
> um....have you tried to say " Hi! " and wave back at him? Um, yes, but it was a good thought. It did eventually stop. I still don't know what he wanted but he settled for his new Dora video and lots of candy. Thanks. -Sara.

Guest guest
Sara, This sounded like it was some kind of game to Mikey. Jake has done this kind of thing to me at times too. I usually just repeat back to him whatever it is that he keeps doing over and over again and it becomes some sort of game and he laughs hysterically. Last week it was " No cwazyhead! " (crazy head) I don't have any idea where he picked that word up and it took me a while to figure out just what he was saying but as soon as I repeated " NO CRAZYHEAD! " back to him he just cracked up like it was the funniest joke on earth. I think it must have been from some video or TV show. I may have to start monitoring that more closely. (bad Momma!!!) A couple of months ago he started screaming for no apparent reason at random times and I finally figured out it was coming from the " Monsters, Inc. " movie. Thank goodness he got over that one. It may be that was watching some show where someone comes up and says " Hi " and then another person screams for some reason?? Last night Jake started with the " No! " and wanting me to say " Yes! " back to him and then he would switch and say " Yes! " so I would switch the " No! " , etc. etc. I thought that one was pretty good for him to try out the " opposites " thing. Speaking of TV... last night we were at a small dinner party at a friends house and I walked in a room to see Jake watching TV with others. He never watches anything other than cartoon TV, has never been interested in anything live-action. Well, he was enraptured with ..... THE MOVIE JAWS!!! And it was just at the end when Jaws eats that boat captain and then shortly after Jaws gets blown up by the policeman when he shoots the O2 tank in Jaws mouth. I tried to get Jake not to watch it but he was insistent and he watched it all before I could barely register what he was seeing! I have no idea how it will affect him. It was really gruesome, worse than I even remember!!! I'm not used to having to control what he takes in because he has never been at an age where things would " register " you know? I think censorship is about to become an issue in our house.... ~ Karin > > Message: 10 > Date: Sat, 28 Dec 2002 20:01:57 -0500 > > Subject: RE: Hi! *scream* Hi! *scream* Hi! *scream* > > >>um....have you tried to say " Hi!
