Hi ,

Each surgeons recommendations vary, but here are some suggestions. Eggs:

Add some cheese, poached, scrambled, hard boiled, omelet? Cottage

cheese...add some fruit (ONLY IF ALLOWED). Mashed potatoes? With gravy

maybe? HINT: If you make your own mashed potatoes, toss in an egg before

blending...not only add's protein, add's flavor too! You could also use

various broths as an alternative to the milk if you chose, or both! Add

some cheese on top of those too! Twice baked potato perhaps? :) Also, SF

puddings hit the spot for me, as well as cup-o-soups (the kind with no

meat...just mushy stuff). Add some SF fudgicles, but don't overdue that.

Also, as Super Wal-Mart, they sell " Blue Bunny " SF

creamsicles..>DELICIOUS!!!

About the gulping....drink out of a sports bottle. You can't gulp, only

sip, and if you're feeling thirsty, you're probably not getting enough

fluids in. That's VERY important!!!

How u doing with the size bites you take? If too big, try using a toddler

size spoon/fork, helps a lot!

Good luck!

Not creative enough . . .

Hi All,

I could use your help here - maybe I'm just not creative enough, but

I am two weeks post op and sick of eating cottage cheese, eggs, and

jello. Any post-op recipes would be appreciated. Also, please no

CIB or protein drinks - they just don't cut it for me.

Also, I seem to be dying of thirst and tend to " gulp " my water - I

know it's a big no-no - any suggestions?

Thanks,

:)
