Guest guest
By the way - my " stims " are really mercury-induced anxiety trying to find an outlet. Healthy adults and moms can relate by thinking about this: Think if you were about to give a lecture to 1000 people. You are nervous....sometimes nervous people " fidget " with their hands and feet or anything else............. Well, something I've noticed is that mercury poisoning makes me anxious. Its not anxiety in the sense that I fear anything.....it is just this strange discontented " urgent " distracted feeling (I think this is also what ADD/hyperactive people feel). Anyway, something that helps this feeling is DOING SOMETHING, and that something usually turns into a " stim. " i.e., pacing aimlessly, talking without something to say, whatever. I wonder if autistic stims aren't the exact same thing, but amplified 100 times. These kids brains are so much less developed and the mercury is so much more real to them.....plus they don't have the age-gained maturity that adults to. So they just roll with whatever feels good, whereas an adult has social contraints. Anyway I think this might resemble something of the explanation of a " stim.
