Hi all,

I had my surgery on 1/31, and am still trying to figure out some of

the ways my body seems to have changed since the surgery. It was my

first surgery ever, so I just don't know...

First, I've had 2 periods and *seem* to be starting my third (very

weird body signals). The first two were 24 day cycles. OK- before

my surgery I was regular as clockwork at 28 or 29 days. So, what

gives? I've been afraid to go on my birth control pills (afraid of

blood clots!), but I may go on for 1 month just to see if I can reset

my cycle. Have others had their cycles thrown out of whack? For how

long? Does starting the bcp's seem like a rational move? I should

also mention I had my ovaries operated on extensively to remove 2

large (endometrial) cysts. I suppose that could make a difference.

Now this weird period, also 24 days since the last one - a tiny

amount of bleeding yesterday. A small burst of bleeding first thing

this morning (nothing heavy), and now... nothing. Just a slow

starter? No cramps either, but I did have a classic bad mood day

leading up to the bleeding. Could medication interfere with

cramping/bleeding? I've been taking Klonopin for anxiety (long

story, but health anxieties play a part in this).

I appreciate any thoughts - I know I need to keep my problems in

perspective, but I'm just puzzled about these signals my body is

giving me.

Thank you!

Janet
