Guest guest
Jill, Just think of all the teacher calls you have ahead of you. <g> Years ago I received a call from a 7th grade teacher informing me our son had spit on the floor in his classroom .<imagine his indignant voice as he says this> I asked what he (the teacher) did about it. He replied he did nothing and wanted me to handle it. I suggested he make him clean it up in front of the class and send him to the office, or did he prefer I come up to his classroom and do that for him.--He took care of it. <lol> This was a year after I received a call (among many) because this same child, our youngest also, wadded up a ball of string, and not winding it neatly after he had it at home (don't even ask what was going on <g>) I would have thought my son assaulted her by her reaction to this " major " infraction. I asked what kind of string, etc, so he could go out and buy her a new ball of string that's wound neatly to give her in it's place, as we had spent 4 hours string to straighten out that string. She said no, and thanked me for my attention to the matter. Another call the same year was over him playing he was a 'smurf narc' after killer smurfs. he would " arrest " other kids on the playground for eating powdered sugar......ROFL>>>>> I could list the calls 'til the sun rises tomorrow. Sounds like your son has a good start for being an entertaining child. <g> Bet he's a very intelligent child with quite a personality. Have a wonderful time in the future (no sarcasm intended). Love, H From: Jill Well Grant's (my 6 year old youngest child) teacher called me today and blasted me about the fact that he stood in line at recess time and announced that there is no Santa Clause and that the parents wrap the gifts......so apparently I am supposed to repair the damage somehow - like how? He didn't get the idea from me, it obviously came from school, because my older two kids believe in Santa! This hardly seems like a punishable offence to me, I mean, I am teaching my kids that lying is wrong....yet there are times when I am supposed to? Talk about confusion. And lets face it, Santa has as much to do with the birth of Jesus Christ as the Easter bunny does of his death and subsequent rise..... lol I am going to write a book......
