England is actually 5 hours ahead of eastern time so this would be good for me! I could make the Saturday and Wednesday chat. Best of all I've just switched to a new ISP that does free phone calls to the net at evenings and weekends. Yay!!! No more £300 phone bills! Do you think it would be a good idea to post the schedule weekly? That way people will be reminded every week and new people can find out about it. It took me 6 months to understan WHAT an impulse was, a few months after that to understand WHEN it was... and then on Feb 1, the phone company changed the rates. Either coincidentally or not, the ISP made my regular number 14.4 on the same day, and they have a NetPac service where you pay in advance by MultiBanc (ATM) that uses a different number... when I tried that, it was 28.8... so I used that for two months. Come to find out that impulses are three times as often... so my phone bill is enormous too! Almost $300US! Why hasnt Europe been able to do internet at a flat rate of $20 or $15 with no pre-call charges to the phone company? Is it a lack of competition? Here, I think it has alot to do with the age of the telephone lines. I really dont know. I cant wait to get back to unlimited ISP either! You guys would probably like me to have it too so that I wouldnt have to wait all day to collect the list mail, then reply in one huge chunk at a time. Guest guest
- Sounds good to me! Where do I go to chat again? I was thinking that we could make a chat schedule like this: Saturdays: 10 am Sundays: 10 pm Wednesdays: 2 pm (all times eastern/NY time zone) That would give the moms with the farthest time zones away enough opportunity to chat, those in the states would have good times for chat, and several days to pick from. As time goes on, we could arrange the schedule based on popular opinion for chat times in the forum. Sound good? >>

You will have to go to the MyDelphi area, scroll down till you see a link to change your Preferences on the left column, and then choose Chat and pick HTML. HTML is a bit quirky in chat, but do-able! Up until about 15 years ago we only had one telephone company! British Telecom had the monopoly on telephone service. I think it might even have been owned by the government, like the gas and electric services were until very recently. Most people are still with BT although the cable services are getting more popular now. The ISP I just signed up with is the first to offer free calls, but I don't think it'll be long now before AOL and the other big names will follow suit. I think people must be leaving them in droves!
