Yogurt amount question

I just made my first batch of Goat Yogurt. It looks great. Now I

need to know how much to give etc. I've read to start with 1/4 tsp.

a day at first. Is this because it would cause too much die-off to

eat more than that? How long do we stay at that amount? I see

recipes that use a lot more than that, and the cheese cake recipe

would have a lot more. Are these off limits until you can eat any

amount of yogurt you want? Does anyone have a protocol to follow on

this? I want to give this to the whole family, do I start everyone

at this small dose? Thanks.

--> Yes.

-->It depends on what type of reaction you see.

--> Any recipe that calls for heating the yogurt (baked goods,

sauces, etc) would be fine to use even if you are only using a

very small amount of yogurt because heating actually kills the

good bacteria. But the yogurt has a really great flavor and texture

when you use it to cook with.

--> Yes. Start everybody with the small amount. Gradually

increase the amounts depending on the reaction you see. 1/4

tsp for a few days, then 1/2 tsp, then 1 tsp gradually working up

to a total of 2 cups for the kids and 3 cups for the adults (as a

maximum per day). No one has to eat the maximum. :)

Hope that helps!
