Qstn on measuring?

I'm reading the recipe files and the suggestions posted by the group,

and am not sure how to handle measurements.

For example, our nutritionist has us weigh everything to the gram

(not cups). So, the ice cream recipe calls for 1/2 cup cream, etc. Do

I make this, then weigh out the amount in grams? Or, do I make

individual servings, weighing first, then freezing?

Same for Keto cheesecake, etc. Depending upon what's going with it,

the amounts change.

Thanks for feedback...Patty, mom to 10-year-old (Ketokid for 1

year but not yet seizure- or medication-free!)

Hi Patty,

I would not feel comfortable making any recipe that was listed in cups..... I

always weighed everything. Since you have to make sure any recipe would fit your

child's stats, you'd need to replan it anyway (using the computer program).....

so maybe you could just use the amounts to give you an idea of the proportions

and try to keep it approximate. Sometimes the recipes are just great for

ideas.... each kid is different so there have to be adjustments made. I know

some parents do " batch " type meals...... making a larger amount and then

weighing out one portion later. I could never make my brain work that hard.....

I always made each meal separately.
