Ruthann,

I know what you mean. I too chickened out the first time and I wished

I hadn't, but at the time I had read so many BAD things about the

surgery and nothing good, plus I didn't really like the doctor I went to

the first time. Now this time I have read so many GOOD things, and I

have joined this group witch has helped A LOT, and I have met some of

the best people I have ever known and this time I LOVE my doctor. So I

too am soooooo ready to have this surgery and break free from this

obesity prison! :)

Hugs,

Ruthann,

I wouldn't change my choice for the world. This honestly is the best decision I've ever chosen for me. I have not gained any weight (THANKFULLY), but stabilizing at times. I get frustrated sometimes, wishing I could hit my goal weight, but for now, I have to be satisfied with what I've lost (and gained throughout this process)...I have gained my self esteem, confidence, attitude (lol), happiness, my husband, my marriage, and my feeling of self discipline, learning and sticking to my new choices in eating, exercise, etc....not to mention the clothes I LOVE searching for! :)

I have just in the last day been to that group and put my name on

that also.

I guess what I am looking at is seeing if there is anything I could

go to before my surgery.

I work at night so the Thursday night meetings were hard to get

to. I do have a night off during the week. Anyone any

suggestions??

I think I am getting the jitters because it is coming so fast!!

Back in January it felt like it would never come and now it is

almost here!!!

Hello Lenora

Welcome to the group. I am sure you will do great!!!

It's not bad in the hospital. You will sleep alot. Do you have anyone at

home who can help you for a few days? I had two C-sections as well and the

surgery for me was worse pain wise but it seems to be very individual and

some people (actually seems like the majority) get through without too much

pain.

Take a pillow in the car for the ride home to hold against your stomach.

Try to load up on the things you will be eating and drinking when you get

home from the hospital now. You won't feel like going to the store when you

get home.

Don't bother packing much to take to the hospital. You will never use it.

What base (is it station in the Navy?) are you at? My hubby is Air Force

and we are at in Southern Illinois.
