Guest guest
>I WAS JUST READING OVER THATFORMULA VS. BREAT BOARD. ABOUT THAT DIANE >LADY....... CAN WE SAY " DEFENSIVE " . OR HOW ABOUT " GUILTY " . GEEZ---SHES THE >ONE WHO SAID " SHE ASKED FOR OPINIONS ON BOTH, NOT ST FOR BREASTFEEDING " >WELL--YOU GAVE HER ONE SIDE AND DIANE GAVE HER ANOTHER--SHE JUST FEELS GUILTY >THAT YOU GAVE YOUR BABIES WHAT SHE DIDNT! Yes, Alli, and she made it *clear* too that if you posted anything about breastfeeding, you are required to post references, whereas if you post about formula feeding, any little anecdotal story, no matter how factual it is, is welcome. The woman who posted the original question on the 11th of May hasnt even returned to read any responses, so to me, thats a ridiculous argument to say that only replies to HER are worth posting... especially in the face of such false statements as some of the ones I listed there: formula is just as healthy... many people were formula fed and turned out just fine... mothers with emotional issues will starve their babies... there is really no difference between formula and breast milk, unless... breastfeeding is painful... breastfeeding ties you down... I cant remember what else they have said at the moment. Its killing me not to post some catty remarks back at them, but I refuse to play that game! You guys have my permission to repost anything to that board from this list that I have written if it was something new to you, or if it made you go Hmmmm. I dont want to hog the conversation completely.

You should be able to. You can paste text into the reply window, format it with HTML, add images (using HTML) and just about anything you can think of. What happened when you tried it? Guest guest
Would someone remind the people in the Ultimate Baby forum that they should also respect that some mothers choose to breastfeed and are glad to find so much information about it!? Its like since there are some mothers who choose NOT to breastfeed, we should post no breastfeeding information so that we wont be personally attacking their choices! Give me a break! Cant believe she deleted the Pope's speech on the importance of breastfeeding. Funny how half of the thread about children before marriage focuses on what the Catholic church thinks and is allowed to stay, but not what the church thinks on breastfeeding. Anyone else noticing these things?!
Guest guest
<< Would someone remind the people in the Ultimate Baby forum that they should also respect that some mothers choose to breastfeed and are glad to find so much information about it!? Oh !! I feel exactly the same way!! I have been following these posts and have just been disgusted by them! I am going to post something but who knows if it will make any difference! These girls seem to be a little close minded if you ask me! Besides I'm not as brave as you are! You always have such excellent replies to any flames. I love your posts!! You deserve a BIG pat on the back for even bothering to reply to them!! good for you! (and of course all the moms to be who actually WANT bf'ing advice) Its like since there are some mothers who choose NOT to breastfeed, we should post no breastfeeding information so that we wont be personally attacking their choices! Give me a break! I was *just* telling Phil that the other day! I'm sick of having to be SOOO careful not to offend any formula feeding moms! If it's their decision NOT to breastfeed then they should be comfortable enough with that decision that I should be able to say whatever I want about breasfeeding! It's not like people who aren't breastfeeding are specifically cautious in what they say to us now is it? I personally get a little offended when I hear words like " gross " and " icky " used to describe one of the most beautiful and natural things in the world!! (Please no offense to any moms out there who have in the past or now formula feed) Cant believe she deleted the Pope's speech on the importance of breastfeeding. Funny how half of the thread about children before marriage focuses on what the Catholic church thinks and is allowed to stay, but not what the church thinks on breastfeeding. Anyone else noticing these things?! It's funny too how I just happened to read that thread as well! It was ridiculous!! Like all of those women are just so " perfect " : ) I was really annoyed reading it!! (Don't ask me why I didn't just stop) ; ) Anyhow, I think it was wrong of her to delete the message... (Kind of like Mommie mail huh?) Anyhow if you have the post handy I would Love to read it!! Once again, let me thank you for all of the support you give, all of the wonderful advice you offer and for being an excellent breastfeeding advocate!!!! You are truly an inspiration!!!
