Guest guest
Hang in there -- sometimes it just takes a little time to get into the groove. Your first week seems to have been a bit of a struggle with the diet's guidelines and just kind of bringing it together in a way that works for you -- week 2 may prove more fruitful. I'm in a bit of discouragement here myself. After being sick with that stomach bug for over a week and then droping to 204 -- AND maintaining it -- my body's caught back up to itself and I put back on the weight. I'm SUPER disappointed about it but I suppose it was to be expected -- there's no reason to think that I'm to drop roughly 7 pounds in just a few days and not pick some or all back up again. I think my metabolism dropped off and when I resumed regular eating it didn't resume regular operations. FWIW, I haven't overshot the old weight at least and it looks like I'm maintaining ok now, so I'm hoping things have somewhat come together again. Today we put in an offer on a house that was accepted -- it's in a nice, quiet subdivision and is a huge step up for us from where we're at now. If all goes well, we'll be in the house within 30 days and I'll have both good weather and a good neighborhood for riding my bike. I fully intend to do some serious busting on that 'un and ride the neighborhood each day. That should help.

Guest guest
That's my rationale for not jogging. The one - and only - time I hauled myself out of bed at the unreasonable hour of 5 a.m. to go run, a dog chased me. The street was deserted and I figured I was done for. The surge of energy it took to get me past his house darn near killed me. I was halfway through my route so had no choice but to keep going. I took it as a sign - no more jogging. Guest guest
Must be there aren't leash laws where some of you people live. It is RARE to see a dog running loose here, and we live in a tiny little rural community. Carry a can of Halt. It is doggie mace. One shot sent the dog running the other way. Letter carriers have used it for years. Chuck Re: Day Nine > > That's my rationale for not jogging. Guest guest
Leash laws only work if people obey them. This was years ago and in a nice area with, I'm sure, leash laws. It was easier to give up jogging! Chuck Kelsey wrote: > Must be there aren't leash laws where some of you people live. Guest guest
I am never sure I am measuring in the same exact place each time when I measure myself, so I tend to not do it. I like weighing myself better. But, then again, I had a hysterectomy, so there is no " time of the month " for me. ann > > Thought I would update you all on my progress or lack of.........I > went to > > my moms to visit today. Guest guest
Hey Chuck, that is a good idea. We are in a rural area and do have dogs running free. Do not think any of them are vicious. I was bitten by a dog at age 11, so if I do not personally know the dog....it literally scares the bageebies (spelling?) out of me. (Hey maybe thinking positively that would not be such a bad thing huh? Wonder how much they way?) lol :-D KATHY Chuck Kelsey wrote: Must be there aren't leash laws where some of you people live. Guest guest
Good morning, I lived where dogs were loose for years, never had trouble with my biking or running. They were never interested in me because they had so much space to run. The only place I had trouble with that was when dogs were in small places and had nothing to do. The halt stuff works for me. I would recommend it also.
