Hi Jean! Debbi here~~ I have taken up quilting ... not hand but machine. It is sort of perfect for EDS/FM because you move from station to station (iron, sewing machine, work light, cutting table) For me it is really painful to sit or stand for more than 10 minutes in the same place. All those stations can easily be lowered to accommodate your chair. My dad made my cutting table with adjustable legs for the days my hip pops out and I have to be seated all day... Also, quilting does not require you handling BIG quantities of material in your lap while you are doing the piecing. You can always have someone do hand quilting for you once the quilt top is done. I am enjoying it very much. Fabric and I are friends! Will have to send you a picture of some of the blocks that I have done. Hope you are well.
