Cheryl,

Thanks for the input. After the MRI I never went back to push for a

clear diagnoses. It might have been a sudden sensorineural hearing

loss episode. Hopefully it is not progressive. I dont think I can

take Prednisone for awhile, because I developed osteopenia in my hips

from being on it for a year. Great med but some nasty side effects.

polychondritis? It looks like it is a possibility that I might have

it--particular to my nose or nasal polychondritis. I'm still working

on a diagnosis and will let the group know for sure when I find out.

But what you just described is a manifestation of RP and prednisone

is the standard treatment. Take care, I think of you often. I know

that I never post any more. I have so many health problems right now.

I have trouble keeping up with all the specialists and tests. I guess

a long overdure check in is in order for me. It seems that I am

permenantly raising my grandchildren; Jasie is now six and in

kindergarten and Rylan just turned 4. What a blessing they are to me.

I would stay in bed all day if it weren't for them. Cheryl in Idaho
