I would say yes because they look at your fingernail color during surgery. I

think they want to make sure your getting enough oxygen and can tell by the

color of your nail bed. I had to have mine removed when they yanked my tooth.

I know you can have polish on but I dont know about the nails. Cal and

speak to the nurses on 6 west at NWH. They will know.

Hi ,

I asked my surgeon the same question, she said I only had to remove

one nail, it can't be the pinky or the thumb though. You might want

to ask your doctors office, because they might have different rules.
