Guest guest
- My first sigmoidoscopy did not require a prep other than enema, but every colonoscopy since then has. I wouldn't think dehydration would be a problem as a result of the preparation, since the prep (at least the ones I've taken - Golytely/Colytely) contain electrolytes and are specifically designed NOT to cause dehydration. I'm a little puzzled on this one. Arne UC 1977, PSC 2000 Alive and (mostly) well in Minnesota - and the sun's shining and the snow's melting! Question: has anyone here had a colonoscopy while in midst of diarrhea? Doc doesn't want to do one as long as he has this due to risk of dehydration...
