Guest guest
Nobody converts beta carotene at the high level that autistic children need vitamin A at. And many of these children are impaired so that they don't convert beta carotene even at normal levels - about 3/4 of autistics not taking supplements test low for vitamin A when checked. Guest guest
The palmitate is actually fine. If you wish to avoid palmitate rather than investigating enough to realize that this is a superstition, you can easily do so by using Twinlabs " allergy A " capsules, which have the acetate. My (tiny) experience here is with hearing people talk about drinking ***large*** amounts of carrot juice (which is sort of a " thing " people do at times). I've heard the comment several times that occassionally someone with have palms and soles of feet get orangy-colored (from the beta carotene I think), but that this is not harmful. Don't know to what dosage this would apply, but it is more than average intake. best, Moria
