Guest guest
Hey Zanna, thats OK. There is not anybody that gets more turned around and lost than me. This just makes it closer, lol. It is wet and cool here today, I am tired of all this rain. It needs to be more balanced out, save some rain for those hot summer days. How does the hot weather affect DM? My wife has MS and the heat just makes her muscles get so weak, wondered if it was the same for DM. I went to the doc yesterday, been feeling so sick and weak ever since I started the methx. They cut me down to 4 pills, one day a week. I was taking 6. He also gave me some antibotics, had a low temp. I read what you posted about how your church did you. We went through a simular experience about 3 years ago. We left that church after going there 18 years. You know some times it is just time to move on. Change is hard, but it is a good thing. I just don't like to get out of my comfort zone. We now attend a church that we are all happier. There are alot of programs for the kids and wonderful caring people. These people were strangers to us when Beck got her dx of MS. The next summer I had a heart attack and surgery and then the next summer I had this DM junk. We were'nt even members and they have loved us, ministered to us, fed us, come to our home, called, ect. I am glad we changed churchs now. If we had not listened to God to move we wouldn't have our wonderful church family we now have. Some people get hung up on denomiation names, just ask God to send you to a church where there are loving caring people. He just wants to love you all. Thats my sermon for the weekend, lol. You all have a great weekend, love LEM wischic68@... wrote: Sorry Lem,For some reason, I thought you were in Texas and that Teddi lived just north of you in Oklahoma. Guest guest
awwwwwwww.........LEM, your a nice guy. Hope the cut back on the methx, along with the antibotics helps you to start to feel better. My husband is doing some better with the anger. The Dr. gave him a prescription for Prozac. Have any of you taken this before? I am afraid of these kinds of medications. The Dr. had gave him some before that you take every day and he wouldn't take them, but these are 90mg. and you just take 1 a week. He was telling him they a perfectly safe to take and they would make him feel so much better. They also have something in them to help with pain. The Dr. also said the methx causes depression. This is all very scary to me. Would appreciate any help. puzzledxx "L. More" wrote: Hey Zanna, thats OK. There is not anybody that gets more turned around and lost than me. Guest guest
Hi Lem... I can vouch for how the heat reacts with DM. I literally slide down the wall like a wet dishrag when the heat is high and especially if it accompanies high humidity. It's actually the humidity that makes me feel sick and drained. Just can't take it. I finally had to buy an air conditioner and that about saved my life in these hot and humid New England summers!!! And I can also vouch for your comments on church groups and or groups of good friends and how they are always there for you. I thank God for the circle of friends I have...they are such wonderful people and I can turn to them for anything anytime. And they know they can turn to me, too. There are about seven of us who have been close friends since the ninth grade and we still get together en mass or in smaller groups at least once every other week. It's added a dimension to my life that I really can't imagine doing without. Take care, Annette -----Original Message-----From: L. Guest guest
Hi... I've been on Prozac for ten years and I'm very grateful for it. It helps with the depression that still creeps in every now and then and I know it helps me to deal with my pain. Can't say it's a pain medication, but I know it helps to take the edge off and lets me have quality time. Guest guest
Hi, all. I guess I'll add my 2 cents worth here, as well. After having my youngest daughter (who will be 4 in August), I went through an awful time with post-partem depression. I was then put on an anti-depressent that I can't remember the name of, but it was in the Prozac family. I noticed a difference immediately. A couple years ago, my Dr. switched me to a new anti-depressent called Celexa. It's wonderful!!! The side affects are extremely mild and it's supposed to be gentler on your system. I've tried weaning myself off them a few times, but I feel so terrible that I go back on them immediately. I'm now especially grateful for them, especially since my DX.
