Guest guest
Recently I have experienced GOBS of hair falling out. It is not 'breaking off' like you see if you damage it. It is really falling out by the root! You can see (and feel) the little bulb - root I guess - at the end of the strand. Is anyone out there experiencing hair loss like this? It is sort of getting noticeable on the head when you look at me but it is REALLY noticeable in the tub, brush, bathroom floor and sink! My hairdresser says in her email to my distress email to her: HEY DEB! HAIR LOSS, NOT BREAKAGE, MEANING LOSS FROM THE SCALP IS USUALLY CAUSED BY AND MORE OR LESS IN THIS ORDER: 1. CHEMO 2. SUDDEN ESTROGEN LOSS 3. ACUTE STRESS OR SUDDEN SHOCK TO SYSTEM I.E.: STROKE, ATTACK ON CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM FROM VIRUS BACTERIA OR GENERAL MELTDOWN, MAJOR BLOOD LOSS NOT FROM ANEMIA. 4. RAPID WEIGHT LOSS, MALNUTRITION. ANY KIND OF CHEMICAL i.e.; PRESCRIPTION DRUGS TAKEN OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME CAN DEFINITELY CAUSE A TOXIC CONDITION IN YOUR SYSTEM THAT WOULD CAUSE HAIR LOSS HARD TO SAY, COULD BE ANY NUMBER OF THE ABOVE IN COMBINATION OR ON THEIR OWN.. Take your pick! ************ She is soooooooooooooo funny! I pretty much qualify for all of the above but was wondering if anyone else is having this and isolated the culprit??? I DON'T WANT TO LOOK LIKE MY GRANDMA BEFORE MY TIME! HA! Debbi
