Guest guest
Does anyone know of a website that would tell me whether the vaccines my 2 year old received had thimerosal in them? I have a copy with the lot numbers and manufacturers and was wondering if I could look them up individually. I had a hair analysis done on her but I can't do the " counting rules " because it wasn't from doctors data. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, April
Guest guest
According to the cdc's own website, yes some do still have thimerosal in them. Here is the link: http://www.cdc.gov/nip/recs/contraindications.htm You will have to scroll down about halfway to a chart where they list vax ingredients. Wherever you see " thimerosal " with the * mark, that means it has 3 micrograms or less in it. If you see just thimerosal with no asterisk mark, then it has the full amount-- 25 micrograms. With two kids on the spectrum, I would NOT be vaxing a ten month old. I would spend more time gathering information and not worrying about staying on the vax timeline. I would not risk it personally but if you chose to do it, I would not start vaxing him until he is MUCH older and then I would do things differently than the current schedule. If you email me privately I will send you a word document that I created for my nephew/wife who will be vaxing their boy at some point and so I kind of gave them some pointers that are " reasonable " . However, this is their first born. Knowing that you have two asd kids *already*, I would not even take these " reasonable " precautions. I would not vax. But that's up to you to decide. Guest guest
Need to check the lot numbers with the manufacturer to be sure. Idiot drug industry kept this preservative in the vaccines til 2000. Cosmetic Industry removed it in 1980! Hows that for stupidity. Be careful of viral overload also. Pediatricians don't know about this also. Guest guest
It stayed in longer than 2000. Check the link I gave her for the CDC's website that shows that some still DO have thimerosal in them. Also remember that the existing stock was never recalled, and many of those had expy dates that went wayy past 2000. W > Need to check the lot numbers with the manufacturer to be sure.
