Guest guest
Hi Ginny, Welcome to the list. I haven't been writing much here lately but just wanted to say the learning difficulties may be largly due to Topiramate. I think it causes more in learning and mood problems than some of the other AEds. Saro......mum to Rohan (14 yrs old, on kgd since 2000) ginnyloo2003 wrote: > Hi. Guest guest
Hi, Welcome to the group! As for exercise/movement, I walk everyday. I absolutely love it! I walk to and from work Mon - Fri. I live about one mile away. I love how it wakes my body up, calms my mind, and transitions me from home to job, then job to home. I have walked all winter, too! I also do some yoga when my body feels like it needs stretches. I'm not into the "hard core" type of exercising. I like gentle movement that makes me feel good and calms my mind. Try giving you body a chance to tell you what it wants to do - stretching? walking? aerobics? bike ride? Try some different types of movement and see what works and feels good for you. Kim IE since Aug 08 Subject: newTo: IntuitiveEating_Support Date: Sunday, February 8, 2009, 9:07 PM I am new to the group. I have been coming to this approach slowly over many years. I don't over eat anymore or deprive myself. I honor hunger and fullness. I reread the book recently because I have felt the temptation to go on a diet because I am about 30-40 lbs overweight. My doctor keeps telling me to loose weight because of high cholesterol, ect. I have not exercised in a long time, but when I did I didn't loose. I am frustrated with the slow weight gain. I also feel at a loss because I can't diet, which I could never stick to anyway, and I don't seem to loose weight even when I exercise. I take that back. I lost when I did a lot of very hard exercise 5 days a week. I am a lot older now and unable to do that kind of exercise. I guess I am discouraged that the weight will ever come off. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Maybe some of you could share what kind of exercise you do and how much is reasonable for weight loss. I have given up being thin, I just need to do this to be healthy. Thanks.
