Guest guest
, You're not the only one. I thought I lost 5 lbs. just to see it reappear in increments over the last week. Maybe I'm weighing myself too often, maybe I'm eating too much, but I know it's that Diet Coke! I think I'm going to have to wean down to 1-2 per day within the next week. I guess I could try Diet Rite, but I know it won't be the same. Does anyone think it could be something else? I have not cheated at all! I drink water also (64 oz), and have been walking for about 40-50 minutes every day. I don't think I'm eating more than the book says, but I'm not hungry. Does anyone have any suggestions? Guest guest
Try loosing the diet drinks and see what happens. One possible side effect of NutraSweet is weight gain. Yep, you thought it was supposed to be for weight loss, but sometimes it apparently has the opposite effect. Report back with your results. Guest guest
You know, if you're coming down from all the caffeine, the answer is NOT to just drop it cold turkey. (I mean, you CAN but you don't HAVE to.) A better solution is to halve your intake every couple of days. By weaning off, you'll have less withdrawal...and keep those around you happier. Guest guest
Thanks, I wasn't even going to start trying to cut down on coffee yet. I actually have been cutting down on the soda, so 4-5 yesterday was actually an improvement. I think I'll be okay without so much of it, if I can still have coffee. As I mentioned before, when I tried to quit cold turkey a while back, I had horrible headaches. > You know, if you're coming down from all the caffeine, the answer is NOT to > just drop it cold turkey. Guest guest
, Are you entering your foods into Fitday? How many calories does it say you are eating a day? Have you tried nuts when you want something crunchy or are you still afraid you will binge on them? ann < > ann- > I have cut my food portions way down but I am still so hungry all the time. Guest guest
The Diet Rite cola really is different tasting from the Diet Coke. I like the Diet Rite tangerine better. Maybe you could have that? It has no sodium so you won't hold fluid from drinking it. ann < > > , > You're not the only one. Guest guest
Nora- I did wean myself from the Diet Coke and was down to one a day. Now with only a three pound weight lose...........screw that. I had a 2 liter bottle this morning and feel great. I haven't cheated either and I am working hard on portion control which was tough the first week but it is getting easier now. Re: end of week two , You're not the only one. Guest guest
ann- I don't have time to enter stuff in fitday. Maybe after school ends. I am just swamp with assignments. Guest guest
, You'd be better off getting the caffeine buzz from coffee or tea, since they aren't loaded with sodium, like the Diet Coke. Sodium can make you retain weight. Guest guest
I can't stand the taste of coffee so I will stick with the diet coke. The sodium doesn't bother me. Guest guest
- what jumps out here is " barely eating anything for the last two weeks " - Kick up your food intake girl- if this plan is going to work, you need to eat!!! After the initial two weeks, it gets a little disappointing because the big numbers don't drop on the scale quite as much, but you will consistently lose every week if you follow the plan- eat eat eat!!! Guest guest
Margi- When I say barely eating anything I meant foods that I used to eat---------those that are banned from SBD. I actually eat a lot so I am trying to cut down my portion. For example, if someone posts a recipe and it serves 4, I will make it and end up eat the whole thing. Guest guest
, I would hardly say that you barely ate anything! You probably ate twice the amount I did. But, sodium is known to make people hold water, so the soda could possibly make it worse now. My clothes still feel tight after a month. I wouldn't expect your clothes to feel loose after two weeks. ann < > I can't stand the taste of coffee so I will stick with the diet coke. The sodium doesn't bother me.
