Guest guest
Beta blockers might be worth a try because many people do get relief from flushing and blushing with them. I've taken Nadolol and propranolol in the past without much improvement, but have had more success with clonidine. I hope one of them works for you! Guest guest
I forgot to add, but in case you don't know of it, Clonidine is not a beta blocker but another type of anti-hypertensive, an alpha agonist that is sometimes used to treat facial flushing and blushing. Guest guest
I've recently tried Inderal for a stressful meeting at work with good results. -Becky Beta-Blockers >I know this has been talked about before, however, I've missed most of it. >What has been everyone's experience with various beta-blockers? Guest guest
Could I have been misdiagnosed? I don't have blushing or flushing, just have some slight flesh colored pimples. I have ocular rosacea. Thanks, ette
Guest guest
Hi , I used a beta blocker for about 8 months back when my cea was at its worst. I was on a twice daily dosage of a generic form of Inderol and I was not impressed with it. First of all, it seemed to limit the flushing for maybe the first two days but after that, ceased to be effective. So, why did I stay on it for so long? My response was largely emotional---I was afraid that my symptoms were escalating and that if I discontinued it, the symptoms would get even worse. I took myself off of it after my first photoderm treatment in November...never regretted it. Besides, it made me feel sluggish and rather depressed. Just my experience, perhaps others feel differently. Beth
