Over the past two weeks, two Ontario MPPs have

introduced competing private member's bills which, if successfully brought into

law, would dramatically increase the number of life-saving organs surgeons

could harvest from dead or dying patients. It is estimated there are nearly

2,000 Ontarians currently on waiting lists for transplants.

Ms. Holdsworth was first diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis

in 1992 and, within a few months, was also found to be suffering from crohn's
