Guest guest
Does anyone know where Andy's post regarding the percentage of mercury removed per round of chelation is? I've searched the archives and files and have not been able to find it. Thanks, Bernadette

Guest guest
91,299 That took some digging lol - here it is again > --You have done 40 rounds and plan on another 60?? Wow, I thought I > read somewhere in Andy's book that each cycle you remove between 1 > and 3% of the Mercury. Using 2% as an average, we figured on trying > to complete around 50 cycles total and that would take care of the > mercury.... Am I completely off base here? Does anyone do repeat > Hair tests midway through chelation to see if the mineral transport > problems are getting better? Ummm... time for some engineering education. Let us call a round 2%. That is 2% of the mercury present at the time the round starts, NOT 2% of the mercury present at the beginning of chelation. Big, important difference. Thus Hg(n) = Hg(0) * 0.98^n or mercury present after n rounds is equal to the initial mercury times 0.98 (98% of mercury still in the brain after each round) to the n-th power. After 40 rounds, 45% of the mercury is still left. After 50 rounds, 36% of the mercury is still left. After 60 rounds, 30% of the mercury is still left. After 100 rounds, 13% of the mercury is still left. Since these kids are autistic, they have WAY WAY WAY WAY more mercury in their brains than they can tolerate. It isn't like they are a bit odd. So you do want to get rid of most of it. Most means down to the 10-20% range at least, more is better. It does help that the kids grow and thus their bigger brains dilute the mercury some. Also the 1-3% number is pretty much pulled out of my hat. It is very hard to estimate this. It also depends somewhat on dosage and on individual biochemistry.
