Guest guest
hi laura, welcome! are there any other wls docs in your area? most docs/wls hospitals will have support groups, @ least that's the way it is in south florida. support meetings are great & it's great to network w/ folks that understand. i'm no nutritionist, but from what i gather, after about 18 months out, we pretty much become like the rest of the " wanting to lose/maintain weight " population. you know the drill: continuing to watch carbs, water, exercise, protein protein. a nutritionist endorsed the " zone " for me, a wl surgeon told us " atkins " style, so i guess that includes the south beach plan, which i hear is healthier. congrats on your success, high five!! lori h. 20 grateful months out

Guest guest
Hi listmates, This list is great, I have learnt so very much. This is off topic, but on topic. With this diet I find I am in the kitchen- all day whenever I am home. Theresa throat tightens with leftovers and alot of things that are frozen. So fresh is the choice. I work alot to survive, along with being the only caregiver. My question is how do you all do it? I am talking practically. I find I 'm slipping with Theresa's other needs because I am cooking and cooking. This diet has priority, but there are so many other needs and so little money and family and friends. Any help? thank you Joanne for Theresa SCD 1.5 yrs
