Guest guest
Just had my annual ERCP, and did not get sick last night and felt great today, this is very unusual for me. Normally I thowup for a couple of days and have less and less nausea for a couple of weeks. Also they were able to get in to both sides of the liver which hasn't been done in several years as they were always to consticted. The anesthesiogist talked me before the procedure and I told them how I expected to be very ill after the ERCP, so he adjust his plan according. I know they injected zofran & of a variety of other things, they also planned to minimize the air they blew in. They must have given me something to make me drowy as I sleep from the time I got home thru the night, which is very unusual for me. My main point are: -Always talk to the anesthesiogist before an ERCP about being sick after. -Even though Psc symptoms seem to vary in degree, somtimes it does seem to get a little better on it's own, as my ducts are much less contricted. -There are vast differences in technical ablities and thinkings of various doctors, as I've had 5 doctors do ERCPs on me and my current doc is the only one to get into the liver.
