Guest guest Posted April 29, 2004 Report Share Posted April 29, 2004 Friends, Sara was diagosed with two ovarian cysts, one of which had ruptured, by CT scan last night. She had a high white count. They filled her up with fluids and sent her home with some vicodin. She felt better this morning. The pedi saw her again late this morning and ran more blood work, and will let us know the results this afternoon. He basically turned her loose and said if it recurs again, we should consider bcp. Tell her we're thinking of her and give her a gentle hug for us. I hope you have someone there who can take care of both of you because you're in no condition to take care of you AND Sara. They didn't have the sonograms, etc, and the pain was so bad, etc, that the Doc did exploratory surgery and my right ovary burst on the table. He cleaned it out as best he could, but I'm convinced that's why I ended up with endometriosis. Hope she does well without any further treatment. They had me on the bcp on occasion, and it would straighten me out for awhile. I didn't have to have the other ovary out until after my hyster. The hyster was when I was 25 and the last ovary at 30.
