Guest guest
Hi Vicki, I wouldn't necessarily say ruined but at least some of the bacteria are dead. You can still use it but it won't keep as long in the refrigerator. You could drip it into cream cheese, make ice cream, make cheescake or use it in baking. Sheila 40 mos SCD, 20 yrs UC mom of SCD 25 mos > I started my yogurt yesterday morning; and forgot to stop the machine till tonight. It has been in the machine for 34 hours. I thought at some point you can overcook and destroy the good properties. Should I start making another batch because this one s ruined? Guest guest
keep in mind that this is naturally occuring sugars and are allowed. There was much discussion about this sme thing a few weeks back. I always buy no fat, plain yogurt either Kroger brand or Dannon and do just fine. It has no added sugars. Guest guest
I had that experience this morning. I bought the plain non fat, not even thinking about it. Then, I looked on the nutritional info and it said it had 12 grams of sugar! After reading everyone else's posts, I am feeling better about it. They say as long as there is no added sugar it is fine. I am looking for things to liven up the plain a bit though. Guest guest
If the ingredients just say yogurt then it is naturally occurring, if it has added sugar then you know it is artificial. yogurt I went to the store and found some non fat plain yogurt...but it had 17 grams of sugar....is that right? Guest guest
Actually you can have 2-3 cups of dairy...so if that is your dairy of choice why not...and the sugar in the yogert is from the milk not added to it....try using SF jello in the yogurt too it's yummy and a lot fo great flavors out there. Licienne Re: Yogurt I was a little confused by yogurt too. I was eating Yoplait Carb Monitor about 2 times a week (because that kind has the lowest sugar I can find). I got some plain last night though, to sweeten with Splenda because even though the other kind is lower sugar, it still has some. Guest guest
, If it plain yogurt, the sugars are naturally occurring. Plain has no added sugar, just the naturally occurring milk sugar. ann < > How the heck is one to know if it is natural occurring or artificial? > >

Guest guest
yes, phase 1. Only add a banana in phase 2. You may have to taste the shake to see if it is sweet enough before putting it into a cup. I tend to just dump my splenda without measuring. I hope you like it as much as I do! Gotta copy that. ann < > Speaking of yogurt, I've recently tried a new fruit dip recipe using 1 carton of CarbControl Strawberry Yogurt mixed with 1 bar of cream cheese. I made a fruit platter with fresh strawberries, grapes, peaches, kiwi, and canteloupe and put the dip in the middle bowl.
