Guest guest
I have heard many good things about acupuncture and was referred to one who had helped a friend with neck pain. I have EDS Type 3 and it hits my knees and shoulders mainly. The first few visits were amazing -- we worked on overall health and my shoulder and I came away feeling very rested. This weekend I went to see Return of the King (great movie BTW) and the long sitting aggravated my knees. So yesterday, we went to work on my knees. 6 needles were placed deep into both my knees and I was told to tell him when they started to hurt. That is when he said " they started working " . 45 min later when I walked out, the knees were aching. By the evening they were so bad I had to resort to pain medicine (first time in a month). The slightest pressure on the patellas as well deep within. I called and was told this is a normal reaction and it should go away in 2 days. Has anyone had positive/not so positive experiences that help me assess my mixed experience? The acupuncturist was trained in Oriental Medicine and received an OD (Oriental Doctorate) and came highly recommended.
