Guest guest
Ok I know this isn't a great topic (LOL) but the last few days 's poo has been greenish just like newborn colour (but more thick) I know he's getting 2 molars right now (has 4 teeth on top, 3 on bottom, and 2 top molars on their way in) could this cause the change?? This is the first time he's had any reaction to teething so I'm in the dark! Thanks! Guest guest
, It could be caused by him getting his teeth. Is he nursing more frequently? He could be getting a slight foremilk/hindmilk imbalance from increasing his nursing frequency. Make sure he is completely finishing one side before switching him. I have found that with my kids when they were teething all sorts of things happened. Diaper rash, fever, drooling, changeable poop, fussing, screaming, sleeping a lot, or not sleeping much at all. Teething is hard work and it does tax their body. Most often when my kids did something like this it would pass in a couple days. Guest guest
> It could be caused by him getting his teeth. Is he nursing more frequently? Actually, no. I thought of that first. He nurses once durring the day (when I get home from work) and countless times at night (I'd estimate about 3-5 depending on the day) > switching him. I have found that with my kids when they were teething all > sorts of things happened. Diaper rash, fever, drooling, changeable poop, > fussing, screaming, sleeping a lot, or not sleeping much at all. Teething > is hard work and it does tax their body. Most often when my kids did > something like this it would pass in a couple days. HTH Well it's been going on about a week or more now. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is for him (he tends to teeth in groups, got 2 the first bout, and 4 the second, this time he's getting at LEAST 2, 1 of which is a molar, and possibly another molar on the way) I've been giving him freezies in the evening to help with it (not the best thing but I can't think of anything that would work that isn't tooo messy!) Guess I just have to wait it out! Guest guest
, Can you express some milk and make breastmilk popsicles? That might be a soothing idea. Guest guest
, Actually that was what I had in mind. Filling a ice cube tray with breastmilk put in freezer until frozen and then pop out and place in a freezer bag for longer storage. I give Zaid ice cubes in a papertowel. That way he can hold them and it soaks up the drips. Wendi http://www.lactivist.com breastfeeding info & resources Re: BM Colours > Can you express some milk and make breastmilk popsicles? Guest guest
breastmilk popsicles We've always called those " mom " sicles, as opposed to " pop " sicles!
Guest guest
On Blues Clues (I watch it every day LOL) they used an ice cube tray, then put plastic wrap over it and used Popsicle sticks as a handle for the cube! (hope you understand what I mean!) Originally when I made my " milk " pops I used a special tray that you can buy that is made of plastic that you make Popsicle's with juice in!
