Guest guest
Gazillinaire? Give it five years and I would be able to give Bill Gates a run! Actually, now that I am retired, my " dream " is to (1) perfect a wrinkle/face-lift routine using a combination of specific acupressure points to stimulate circulation, followed by a lymphatic drainage facial to flush wastes and toxins to improve skin tone, and (2) figure out some way to use energy to stimulate hair follicles for regrowth. The hair thing is more of a fantasy than anything else. The wrinkle/face-lift thing is anything but - that's a reality. I already know how to do it, just havn't done much with it so far. Sounds to me like stress could definitely be a factor in your life. Ok - now onto your question about Tsubos. Tsubo is just another word for acupressure points. That's what they are called in Japan. Will they help? Depends on what you want to use them for. If you are thinking in terms of hair loss, maybe or maybe not. If the hair loss is caused by something other than stress, then the answer is probably no. However, if the hair loss is in fact caused by psychological stress, than the answer is very likely. They would do nothing to affect the hair loss per se. What they would do is help control your stress levels, which in turn could be causing the hair loss. And I assure you, acupressure can be extremely effective for stress and pain management. As for finding it, you may or may not find it at either Borders or and Noble in their alternative medicine sections. I have seen it in both, but it is not heavily stocked, like the latest Harry Potter. If they have it in stock at all, it is usually just one or maybe two copies. The book I generally recommend for someone just starting out with acupressure for self help is " Acupressure's Potent Points " by Gach. Keep in mind that my personal reference library has over two dozen books on acupuncture and acupressure alone. I have found this one to be by far the best general " if I only had one " type book on the subject and is by far the most user friendly for someone just starting out. Gach does not reference baldness at all, but he does have some excellent sections on stress and anxiety. I have several others that are at a much higher level that I use personally, but they are not ones I would either recommend for a beginner or try to use to walk someone thru something via email. Either the Gach or Serizawa books would be good. Both are also readily available at decent prices through Amazon.com. Gach tends to run quite a bit cheaper, particularly on the used market. But neither one is going to cost you more than about $20 (and sometimes as low as $10.) Of the two, however, I think I would suggest you go for the Gach book. Again, it is the easiest to use and he does have an excellent section on dealing with stress. Actually, the routine he has in the book is essentially the same one that is being used by a lot of first responders (police/fire/emts) for crisis/trauma intervention. If you do decide to get the book, check back with me and I will give you some pointers on actually doing it. > In a message dated 12/23/2003 11:16:03 AM Pacific Standard Time, > mike@u... writes: > I can reset > dislocated bones by touch but I can't make hair grow.
